Parc de la Chute-Montmorency

With the sun bright and heat promised, we packed our lunches and headed out to Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, or Montmorency Falls. As we navigated our way down the highway, we could see the thundering falls from the road.

As we walked toward the falls, we opted for the cable car to get up the cliff. We got a view of not only the falls but also the gorgeous body of water that spanned out from it.

We spent the morning wandering around, dodging other tourists and taking in the view.

The suspended bridge allowed us to cross atop the falls, hearing the power from above. A neat way to experience this element of nature.

The park has so many areas to picnic, and if you have kids, some great play areas too (although, I did really want to go on the swings). You are really able to go at your own pace, wandering and exploring until you truly fall in love (see what I did there?).

We wrapped around the horseshoe of the fall and came upon the never-ending stairs. Thankful again that we chose the cable car on the way up, we braved the steep steps, stopping to take a few shots along the way.

The falls were beautiful and I will certainly go back. There is still so much more we could do there! You can go zip-lining, rock climbing beside the falls, or biking through the trails. This place is a must visit if you are headed to QC!
